Bankrupt without God

"Deuteronomy 8:7-9 For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs, that flow out of valleys and hills; a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey; a land in which you will eat bread without scarcity, in which you will lack nothing; a land whose stones are iron and out of whose hills you can dig copper".

I began to make sense of it all as I gazed at my gleaming diamond wedding band, which symbolized love. The beautiful gold, silver, and diamonds never lose their value, and they last eternally because anything that comes from God has eternal life.(JOHN 3:16).

I heard a joyful shout and turned to see my beautiful son racing towards me, seeking a hug. It reminded me that my son's unconditional love reflects God's unconditional love for me.

When my son and took walk to water our lush garden, I noticed that the flowers were blooming. I remembered our summer vacations as I gazed at the water streaming from the hose. Summer vacations aren't complete without a trip to the beach. The sea brings enjoyment and relaxation to friends and family. Not to mention the unfathomable beauty that exists beneath it.

The sea conveys peace to our spirit, fish as sustenance and valuable pearls for jewels. This is not even a fraction of what God has provided for us. The precious diamond on my wedding ring comes from this planet that God created for us, it was formed millions of years ago deep within the Earth’s crust. The fruit tree in my garden was once a tiny, modest, little seed that grew into a gigantic tree producing fruit.

God provides an abundance of resources and means for humans to flourish. His creation, nature, exudes His love, hope, peace, restoration, therefore all the inhabitants of the world should stand in awe of our LORD.

God's creation proves that in God we can have Faith and Hope, nothing is impossible with God. Trust Him. He created that tiny seed which produces an array of beautiful flowers, healthy fruit, vegetables, and oxygen-producing trees.

Family and neighbours are to be loved. God has given us 'people' to experience His care and Love.

Matthew 22:37-39 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

God has blessed us with the Holy Spirit, who is more than a comforter. "Acts 4:31After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly"

"Psalm 33:6 By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth" - Everything on earth comes from God, we will be bankrupt without God.

A prayer from Psalm 143:10

Teach me to do your will,

for you are my God;

may your good Spirit

lead me on level ground.
